Glenn Close Cast in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

Well, it looks like James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy is in its final stages of casting, with Glenn Close being added to the roster.  According to Deadline, the Academy Award nominated actress will be playing one of the head officers in Nova Corp, the intergalactic version of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In addition to Close, the film will also feature Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, John C. Reilly, and Ophelia Lovibond. Hopefully this odd assortment of actors will compliment the odd assortment of heroes in The Guardians and it will prove to be a strong entry in Marvel’s lineup.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1st, 2014.
