Much to the chagrin of Film Pulse’s own Kevin Rakestraw, Insidious Chapter 2 has been announced earlier today, and is set to begin shooting this January. James Wan is back in the director’s chair and Leigh Whannell is returning to write the script. In fact, nearly everyone involved in the first film is coming back, including Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins.
There is no official plot synopsis as of yet, but we’ll be sure to post more on this as it becomes available, if for no other reason than to infuriate Kevin. Expect to see Insidious Chapter 2 in theaters August 30th, 2013.
