This week’s Kickstart Sunday pick is the very stylish looking Fonotune: An Electric Fairytale from writer/director Fabian Huebner.  This science fiction film promises to blend Japanese cinema, graphic design, and comic books- three things I happen to love.  With talent including Guitar Wolf Seiji, Kazushi Watanabe, and Yuho Yamashita, this is definitely going to be one to keep an eye on.

This Kickstarter project has 24 days remaining with a goal of $33,000.  Be sure to click here to donate today, and look below for more information.

Fonotune is an electric fairytale set during a single strange day in an undefined future. It follows the street hooker Stereo, the lo-fi cowboy Analog and the wordless drifter Mono on their odyssey through a weird world, as they deliver a cassette tape to a mysterious person. They have all kinds of strange encounters, but as mankind has grown indifferent to what’s happening around them, one major thing seems to have gone unnoticed:

It’s the last day on earth.

In the final hours of this day, the protagonists break through the city wall and step onto the vast white desert plains, where they finally meet Blitz, the guy who wants the tapes. He turns out to be quite a character! But why on earth did he want those tapes?
