Lionsgate has announced the next two releases in their Vestron Horror Classics Blu-ray lineup, with Bob Balaban‘s Parents from 1988 and Ken Russell‘s The Lair of the White Worm from 1987. Both releases are campy horror-comedies that I cannot wait to revisit. I remember seeing Parents when I was very young and it gave me nightmares for days for some reason.

Both films will be released on Blu-ray January 31st, 2017 and will retail for $34.97. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’m loving what Lionsgate is doing with these releases. Great quality, awesome titles, and tons of bonus features on the disc.

Here’s the synopsis for each of the newly announced titles along with the included special features:

The Layer of the White Worm

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS

Hugh Grant, Amanda Donohoe, and Catherine Oxenberg star in this mix of heart-stopping horror and campy humor. James D’Ampton (Grant) returns to his country castle in England. Legend has it that James’s distant ancestor once slayed the local dragon — a monstrous white worm with a fondness for the sweet flesh of virgins. The young lorddismisses the legend as folklore, until archaeology student Angus Flint explores James’s property and unearths a massive reptilian skull and a pagan snake god’s ancient site of worship. When James’s virtuous girlfriend, Eve Trent (Oxenberg), suddenly disappears, James and Angus set out to investigate the foreboding cavern said to be the worm’s lair, where a centuries-old mystery begins to uncoil.
