In an article published by the
LA Times today,
Paul Ruebens stated that a director has been confirmed for the new Pee-Wee Herman film. Ruebens was not inclined to say who it will be, but he did say that they hope to begin shooting next year, along with a new Pee-Wee television show.
This project has been gestating for some time now, with Judd Apatow attached as the producer, and Ruebens and Paul Rust as writers.
Part of me wants them to pull Tim Burton back into it, but his track record lately makes think maybe that’s not a good idea. What do you think?
