Today marked the release of two very cool looking posters for two very cool looking films- The Lone Ranger and Holy Motors.  While each film looks very different thematically, and I think Holy Motors will be better received, I’m still  fan of Gore Verbinski so I’m excited to see The Lone Ranger as well. Hit the jump for the posters and more info.

I was already filled with excitement for this film way back in January when we first started discussing it on the site, and now that the release is approaching, and overwhelmingly positive reviews are rolling in, I’m absolutely dying to see this one.  Here’s the synopsis:

From dawn to dusk, a few hours in the life of Monsieur Oscar, a shadowy character who journeys from one life to the next. He is, in turn, captain of industry, assassin, beggar, monster, family man… He seems to be playing roles, plunging headlong into each part – but where are the cameras? Monsieur Oscar is alone, accompanied only by Céline, the slender blonde woman behind the wheel of the vast engine that transports him through and around Paris. He’s like a conscientious assassin moving from hit to hit.

The film is stilling playing the festivals, with New York being it’s next stop on October 11th, and hopefully we’ll be able to see it in theaters or on VOD shortly thereafter.

This poster for The Lone Ranger looks awesome, and hopefully the film will follow suit, but we’ll have a better idea of how this looks tomorrow when the trailer drops on MSN.  Stay tuned, as we’ll be posting that as soon as it becomes available. The Lone Ranger hits theaters July 3rd, 2013.
