Rarely, if ever, do we voice our condolences to ones passing on this site, however Roger Ebert has been such a prolific voice in film criticism that we simply must acknowledge him.
As budding young film critics, we drew inspiration from his insightful, yet accessible reviews, and though many have tried, there are few that could match his knowledge and objectivity.
In his monstrous 46 year career as a critic, Ebert has proven time and again that he was simply one of the best. His ever-present love for film, and his drive to keep watching even after his health was in decline is something we can all admire.
He will be missed and everyone at Film Pulse sends out warm wishes to all whose lives he has touched.
