20th Century Fox released a new trailer for Ridley Scott‘s upcoming science fiction film, The Martian, about a man (Matt Damon) stranded on Mars after a series of unfortunate events. Now, he must find a way to survive as a rescue team is put together on Earth to bring him back. The film also stars Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Michael Peña, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Sebastian Stan, Aksel Hennie, Donald Glover, Mackenzie Davis, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The Martian opens in theaters October 2nd.
During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet.
