Rob Zombie’s 31 Gets a Trailer

Rob Zombie is a director I desperately want to like, but his latest horror effort, 31, looks fairly banal and hasn’t received a very warm reception since its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. At any rate, a new trailer was released today which outlines the story of a group of carnival workers who get kidnapped and must survive for 12 hours in a twisted and horrific game called 31.

I’m very skeptical about this one, but we’ll find out when Saban Films releases 31 on September 16th.

From the visionary mind of the man who brought us House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects and Halloween comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large compound. At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game or life or death called 31. For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.
