Schwarzenegger to Co-Star in ‘Toxic Avenger’ Remake

There’s been rumblings here and there over the last three years or so about the possibility of a remake to the 1984 Troma cult classic The Toxic Avenger.  Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine) is still attached as the film’s writer, but now it appears that Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken an interest and is looking to have a role.

He won’t be playing the beloved Toxie, so I would imagine there’s a strong possibility of him being the villain.  This information should all be considered speculation at this point, at least until the project gets pitched at Cannes.
