The first red band trailer for the upcoming r-rated CG comedy Sausage Party has been released ahead of its work in progress screening at this year’s SXSW. The film is directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon and features the voice talents of Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek.
I do love how this trailer nails the Pixar feel perfectly for the first half before exposing just how adult the film promises to be.
Sausage Party opens in theaters August 12th.
“Sausage Party” is an ‘R’ rated theatrical animated movie about one sausage’s quest to discover the truth about his existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, our hero sausage and his new friends embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket to get back to their aisles before the 4th of July sale.
