SpectreVision and Drafthouse Films Join Forces for THE GREASY STRANGLER

SectreVision and Drafthouse always felt like a match made in heaven and the two companies are finally teaming up to bring us The Greasy Strangler from director Jim Hosking. This will mark the directorial debut for Hosking, who also co-wrote the script with Toby Harvard (ABCs of Death 2). In addition to SpectreVision’s Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller and Elijah Wood, Andrew Starke and Ant Timpson will also be producing, with Ben Wheatley (Kill List, Sightseers) and Alamo Drafthouse founder Tim League executive producing.

The Greasy Strangler is set to begin shooting in Los Angeles Spring of this year. Here’s a look at the newly released teaser poster:

The Greasy Strangler is the story of Ronnie, a man who runs a Disco Walking tour in L.A. along with his browbeaten son, Brayden. When a sexy, alluring woman comes to take the tour, it begins a competition between father and son for her attentions. It also signals the appearance of an oily, slimy inhuman maniac who stalks the streets at night and strangles the innocent, soon dubbed ‘The Greasy Strangler.’
