THE BOOK THIEF Trailer Starring Geoffrey and Emily Watson

Here’s the first trailer for Brian Percival‘s The Book Thief, which stars Sophie Nélisse as a young orphan adopted by a loving couple (Geoffrey Rush, Emily Watson) during World War II.  As the Nazis take over, the young girl uses her love of reading to touch the lives of everyone around her.

Based on a novel of the same name by Markus Zusak, the trailer makes the film look like some serious Oscar bait, and the November 15th release date almost solidifies this as an awards contender.  Hit the jump to check out the trailer and synopsis.
