‘Thor: The Dark World’ Trailer

Here’s the debut trailer for Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, directed by Alan Taylor.  Taylor is most known for directing the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, and it seems fitting to get him involved in this series considering the subject matter. The film looks to take place predominantly on Earth, and sees Thor having to team up with his disgraced brother Loki in order to stop the earth from being destroyed.

The trailer looks pretty fantastic and I never thought I’d be excited about a Thor movie, as I never really cared for the character, but I was pleasantly surprised with the first.  Hit the jump for the trailer and synopsis, Thor: The Dark World hits theaters November 8th and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christopher Eccleston,Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Anthony Hopkins.

Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
