Steve McQueen‘s 12 Years a Slave took home the People’s Choice Award for best film at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, with runners up including Stephen FrearsPhilomena and Denis Villeneuve‘s Prisoners.

Jehane Noujaim‘s The Square took home Best Documentary and Shion Sono‘s Why Don’t you Play in Hell? won Best Picture in the Midnight Madness category.  Hit the jump to check out the full list of winners.
