So it looks like the next Hasbro toy that will be developed into a feature length film will be none other than Stretch Armstrong. This idea has been floating around the studios for a while now, originally being being developed by Universal, and set to star Taylor Lautner. At some point, someone with a brain decided this was a terrible idea and abandoned the project, only to have it picked up by Relativity, who quickly attached Breck Eisner to direct. Eisner’s last project was the moderately successful, and actually quite good, remake of George Romero‘s Crazies, and Greg Poirier, who wrote the second National Treasure movie, drafted the script.
There are no casting details as of yet, but whomever they get, it probably won’t help this film not be a pile.
