Though Ryan doesn’t see as many films as most of us do on the site, his opinion is just as important as anyone’s, and he’s become our unofficial voice of the common movie goer.  Below you’ll find Ryan’s picks for his top ten of the year so far, however he did note that he hasn’t seen This is the End yet, which will most likely make it to his list.  If you haven’t checked out our weekly podcast with Ryan click here to give it a listen and hit the jump for his list.

#10 – TERMS AND CONDITIONS MAY APPLY directed by Cullen Hoback

Not really a movie to watch over and over, but it makes you wonder who’s watching.

#9 – OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN directed by Antoine Fuqua

CG sucks. Intriguing story. Gerard Butler fucks people up.

#8 – V/H/S/2 directed by Simon Barrett, Jason Eisener, Gareth Evans, Gregg Hale, Eduardo Sanchez, Timo Tjahjanto, Adam Wingard

Pretty scary. The zombie segment is uniquely shot. The school segment is…odd.

#7 – DRINKING BUDDIES directed by Joe Swanberg

Drinking/working with Olivia Wilde and being courted by Anna Kendrick? Yes please.

#6 – MY AWKWARD SEXUAL ADVENTURE directed by Sean Garrity

Chick-flick But actually kind of funny and you get good insight into a stripper-handled relationship.

#5 – THE HEAT directed by Paul Feig

A decent rated R comedy. Rated R (few and far between).

#4 – THE DIRTIES directed by Matt Johnson

A unique found footage film about a school shooting.

#3 – EVIL DEAD directed by Fede Alvarez

You can’t wrong with nail-guns. One of the best remakes I’ve ever seen.

#2 – GANGSTER SQUAD directed by Ruben Fleischer

Lots of murdering.  The topic intrigues me. Who doesn’t love early 1900s Emma Stone? I do.

#1 – SPRING BREAKERS directed by Harmony Korine

Great story. Great camera work. Hot chicks. James Franco being hilarious. Spring break forever bitches.
