One of the funniest movies I saw at Sundance this year was
Jemaine Clement and
Taika Waititi‘s
What We Do in the Shadows. The film is a mockumentary that revolves around a group of vampires that also happen to be flatmates, and it’s absolutely hilarious. Today it was announced that it has been picked up for U.S. distribution by
Unison Films, who will handle the theatrical release, and The Orchard will be taking care of the digital and DVD releases.
Funny or Die snatched the film up at Sundance and will handle the promotion and marketing.
There’s no release date announced as of yet, but hopefully this one will be popping up on your VOD provider very soon. Be sure to click here and check out our review from Sundance.
