The Hollywood Reporter announced today that there is a sequel in the works for this year’s horror anthology hit V/H/S.  The film revolves around a group of miscreants who break into a mysterious house in order to steal a VHS tape. Each short film in the series is a different tape, all done in a found footage style. This time around, the producers seem to be looking for a new crop of talent, bringing in a new batch of directors, with the exception of Adam Wingard, who will be coming back for the sequel.

One of the more interesting choices for directors is The Raid‘s Gareth Evans who’s teaming up with Timo Tjahjanto.
We also have Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project), Gregg Hale, Jason Eisener (Hobo With a Shotgun) and Simon Barrett.

Not too much more is known at this point, except it will follow the same formula as the first film, and that shooting is set to begin shortly in Los Angeles, Maryland, Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Indonesia.

Though it hasn’t been announced yet, I would suspect we’ll be seeing this a year from now, around Halloween next year.
