Victor Crowley’s Back in the ‘Hatchet III’ Trailer

The thing about Hatchet, is that it’s a somewhat underrated and very fun slasher film.  It harkens back to the heyday of the slasher and manages to create something that is slightly unique while still paying homage to the ones that started it all. Unfortunately, it adheres a little too closely to its predecessors and what we have now is a slew of terrible sequels.

With that, we have the new trailer for Hatchet III, which is set to release on June 14th. The film takes place directly after the events of the last one, so if you don’t want the end of Hatchet II to be spoiled, you’ll want to hold off on giving this a watch. The cast features many names associated with the horror community including Danielle Harris, Kane Hodder, Derek Mears, Caroline Williams, and Zach Galligan.

BJ McDonnell will be making his directorial debut with the film, previously working as a cameraman on projects such as Star Trek Into Darkness and This is the End.

HATCHET III continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). As a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and carnage left behind from the first two films, Marybeth (Danielle Harris) hunts down the true secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.
