As part of the kick-off of JASH, the comedy collective with Michael Cera, Tim and Eric, Sarah Silverman, and Reggie Watts, Michael Cera has released his directorial debut, a short film titled Brazzaville Teen-Ager.

Based on a short story by Bruce Jay Friedman, the film stars Cera along with Charles Grodin, Jack O’Connell (Skins UK), and R&B singer Kelis. It’s an odd little film that’s billed as more of a dramedy than a laugh out loud kind of funny.  Check it out after the jump and tell us what you think.

In a self-effacing attempt to save his father from a death by deterioration, a young man enlists his curmudgeonly boss and Kelis to perform a song, and a miracle.
