On August 20th, IFC will be premiering their new comedy series Documentary Now!, which features Fred Armisen and Bill Hader in parodies of some of the most iconic documentary films ever made. The show is executive produced by Seth Meyers and the second episode has been released for free on Youtube, which you can watch below.

This episode parodies Vice and features Jack Black and Helen Mirren, who will be handling the intros to the episodes.

This is a brilliant idea for a show and I can’t wait till they tackle more docs.

This summer, IFC’s newest original comedy series Documentary Now! will lovingly parody some of the world’s best-known documentaries. Dame Helen Mirren (The Queen, The Audience) serves as host of this six part series, lending the gravitas that documentaries of this caliber so rightly deserve. Starring Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, each episode is shot in a different style of documentary filmmaking, and honors some of the most important stories that didn’t actually happen.
