Watch the Terrifying New Concept Trailer for ‘Cashtown Corners’ from Bruce McDonald

Director Bruce McDonald and writer Tony Burgess, the team who brought us Pontypool, are back with a new horror film titled Cashtown Corners, and it looks like it’s going to be absolutely insane.  Before entering horror territory, McDonald directed audience fave Hardcore Logo, as well as a slew of TV projects and other small films.

After the critical success of Pontypool, which is a very clever spin on the zombie film, it seemed like only a matter of time before these guy collaborated on another project.  Now we have Cashtown Corners. Like Pontypool, this is an adaptation of a novel written by Burgess, which is titled People Still Live In Cashtown Corners. The project is still in early development, but there was a concept trailer made to pitch to Cinegroup in Canada.  Hit the jump to take a look and read the full synopsis.

Bob Clark lives and works in Cashtown Corners. In fact, he’s the only resident of the tiny rural town. Bob has never really felt like himself whenever other people are around, and feeling normal is all he wants in life. One day, Bob decides that the only way to truly be himself is to murder anyone who makes him feel abnormal; which is everyone. This psychological horror chronicles Bob’s blood-filled journey through his new life, one that revolves around joyous, satisfying, and beautiful murder. Tragedy rips through everyone in this rural area; everyone except Bob Clark who’s never felt more normal.
