Anne Hathaway is appearing in another gender-swapped remake. Already set to star in Ocean’s Eight – a spinoff of the Ocean’s Trilogy, Deadline reports the actress is in talks to join Rebel Wilson in an update of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Hathaway and Wilson will take on similar roles played by Steve Martin and Michael Caine in Fran Oz’s 1988 film.
The title has been changed to Nasty Women (timely, no?), but it will retain the basic idea of con artists attempting to swindle a wealthy mark.
Jac Schaeffer is scripting Nasty Women; there hasn’t been an announcement on a director or a release date.
