BLADE RUNNER 2049 Gets a Plot Synopsis

There are rumors that a trailer for Blade Runner 2049 is coming soon, and today’s release of an official synopsis seems to confirm that it won’t be long until we get our first look at the hotly-anticipated sequel.

Here’s the synopsis from Warner Bros.:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Not a ton of detail, and it seems typical of the years-later sequels we’ve gotten lately (e.g. The Force Awakens), but I’m definitely looking forward to this one.

Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival) and will be released on October 6th, 2017.
