National Film Registry 2016 Additions Include THE BREAKFAST CLUB and THE BIRDS

Each year the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress picks 25 films for preservation. Films must be 10 years old to be chosen and must be deemed “culturally, historically or aesthetically” important.

The 2016 picks are below in alphabetical order. I got really excited when I thought I spied Point Break on the list, but it’s actually Point Blank, which is fine, too. For more information, check out the National Film Registry website.
