As erotic thrillers go, Fifty Shades Darker certainly looks like one of them. Or, all of them. The new trailer emphasizes the secrets from the past of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) that could jeopardize a happy, kinky future with Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson). There’s still a third book to be made into a lucrative movie, so it’s likely nothing too significant, or unexpected, will happen this time around.

When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.
