Universal’s Scarface remake needs to find a new director, as Antoine Fuqua has exited the project to focus on the sequel to 2014’s The Equalizer.

While the film may have lost its director, per the Variety report, it has also gained a lead actor with Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) attached to star. The remake is reworking the central immigrant gangster story – of an Italian immigrant in Chicago in the 1932 version, and a Cuban refugee in Miami in the 1983 film – to focus on a Mexican immigrant operating in Los Angeles.
