Marvel’s band of merry misfit heroes are back in a new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. There aren’t a lot (if any) plot details revealed, but the first peek at the sequel showcases the colorful visuals and cheekiness that made the original so much fun. All members of the team get their moments, with Baby Groot featuring heavily. It sounds like we also get a preview of the classic rock tunes on Star-Lord’s new mixtape. I’m definitely looking forward to this one.
Director James Gunn returns, as do stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker, and Karen Gillan. Kurt Russell joins the cast as Star-Lord’s father.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is in theaters May 5th, 2017.
